Traffic light restored

The traffic light at U.S. 10-31 and Stiles Road is now operational again. The power went out following a fire to a power pole at U.S. 10-31 and Quarterline Road.

2:32 p.m.: The Mason County Sheriff’s Office reports the traffic light at U.S. 10-31 and Stiles Road will be out until the electricity is restored at that location. Motorists are urged to use caution when approaching the intersection. Emergency crews are on the scene to direct traffic. The outage is expected to be repaired in the next three hours. When…

While our neighbors to the south received several inches of snow over-night, here in Mason County we got a slight teaser. This morning’s snow was wet and heavy, making for a beautiful white coating on trees, such as this scene on Johnson Road in Amber Township.
