MCC forensics places in tourney

MCC traveled to BirminghamSeaholmHigh School in a mostly class A forensics tournament, and came out victorious. BALDWIN – The MasonCountyCentralHigh School boys bowling team defeated Baldwin Saturday, bringing their record to 7-0. The team will be competing in individual and team competitions the next two Saturdays and then heading to Cheboygon Feb. 21 to 23 for regionals. SCOTTVILLE — Firefighters from Scottville and Custer fire departments extinguish a garage fire at 117 W. State St. Sunday night. The fire was reported about 6 p.m. Upon arriving the unattached structure was fully engulfed. The garage appeared to be a total loss. Firefighters expected to be on scene for another hour.

HAMLIN TWP. — Fifty-six kids attended the Michigan Ice Open Kids Fishing Tournament today. “The kids were given instructions on fishing techniques and ice safety by professional ice fishermen at the Hamlin Township Hall,” said volunteer Matt Bryant.
