North breakwater closed.  LUDINGTON — The Ludington Police Department has closed the north breakwater due to current weather conditions. The National The National Weather Service has issued a beach hazard statement for the Lake Michigan shoreline in Mason County and surrounding areas today, Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dangerous waves and currents are expected.

Decker Road closure

Decker Road closure SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — Decker Road, between US 31 and Darr Road, will be closed to all traffic due to a culvert replacement beginning Wednesday, Aug. 28, according to the Mason County Road Commission. The culvert is located about .1 mile east of US 31. Work is anticipated to take about three days.
