Knowledgeable Americans are most concerned about microplastics’ impact on their health (90%), links to serious health conditions (89%), and their presence inside the human body (90%), the general environment (89%), and wildlife (89%).
Art Hirsch is from the Michigan Microplastics Coalition and is an environmental engineer with over 30 years of water quality experience. He lives in Boulder Colorado and spends his summers in the Ludington/Pentwater Michigan area. He is originally from Michigan, and he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Fisheries and Wildlife and a Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado in Environmental Engineering.
