Job Description:
Ludington Area Catholic School Child Care is seeking a child care aide to join our staff beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with others to carry out the mission of LAC. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
LAC School in Ludington is seeking a child care aide. All candidates must be highly energetic, enthusiastic, a team player, and possess a love for PK-6th grade children. This position is Monday through Friday 2:30-5:30 p.m., and currently begins in coordination with the preschool calendar. (This position may be changed to year-round and more full-time status in the summer, depending on need and to be determined in April 2027.)
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
● At least 18 years of age with a caring/nurturing attitude towards children.
● A solid understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children and child development.
● First Aid and Adult/Child CPR (training will be provided if needed).
● Commitment to fostering the faith of children.
● Excellent classroom management skills, communication and organizational skills.
● Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training.
● Must have or be willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children training.
Competitive hourly wage.
