LUDINGTON — A benefit account has been established to help the victims of a house fire that took place last week in Pere Marquette Township. While occupants David Outcalt Jr. and Trish Ellsworth, along with their five children and pets, were safe after the fire at 2271 Inman Road, the house suffered severe smoke and water damage, according to Pere Marquette Township Fire Chief Larry Gaylord. See related story here.

Friends of the family have started a fund to help the family out at Safe Harbor Credit Union, 1200 E. Tinkham Ave. Contributions can be made to the Outcalt Family Donation Fund.

The family has also received assistance from the Mason County Fire Victims’ Relief Fund, a fund set up by local firefighters to assist those in times of tragedy. Money is raised during an annual hockey game between firefighters and law enforcement.
