Scottville man arrested for felonious assault involving shotgun.

EDEN TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old Scottville man was arrested for felonious assault and resisting/obstructing police following an incident involving a shotgun Monday, Oct. 23, at 9:10 a.m. in the 500 block of East Chauvez Road, according to Michigan State Police Sgt. Charles Hockanson.

No injuries occurred, the sergeant said.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Monday, Oct. 23, 2017:

– 1:50 a.m., (MSP), a 26-year-old Branch woman was arrested for obstructing police, Hawley and Stephens roads, Eden Township.

– 1:58 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), warrant arrest, 3900 block of North Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township. A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant in Muskegon County.

– 8:15 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 west of Brye Road, Amber Township.

– 12:05 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.

– 5:01 p.m., (MCSO), domestic violence arrest, 1700 block of Patrick Henry, Amber Township. A 47-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a 911 call reporting an assault.

– 6:47 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Fountain and Quarterline roads, Victory Township.
