‘Highly intoxicated’ man arrested after staggering in traffic.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old homeless man was arrested for disorderly person by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Friday, Aug. 18, at 5:28 p.m. “following several 911 calls reporting a man staggering in traffic on US 10 east of Nelson Road,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The man was found “passed out” in a parking lot in the 5600 block of West US 10, “highly intoxicated” with a blood alcohol content of .26 and had “urinated himself,” the sheriff said.

Friday, Aug. 18, 2017:
– 11:47 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $16.01 in fuel stolen, Wesco East Gate, 5600 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
– 4:59 p.m., (MCSO), a 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI) following a traffic stop, Stiles and Johnson roads, Amber Township.
– 11:20 p.m., (Michigan State Police), an 18-year-old Ludington woman was cited for minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), Pere Marquette Highway and Sixth Street, Pere Marquette Township.
Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017:
– 1:15 a.m., (MSP), a 30-year-old Hart man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, Pere Marquette Highway and Wallace Lane, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
– 2:27 a.m., (MCSO), a 23-year-old Custer man was arrested for second-offense OWI following a traffic stop, Washington Avenue and First Street, City of Ludington.
– 3 a.m., (MCSO), a 30-year-old Scottville man was arrested for probation violation following a 911 call reporting a disturbance in the 100 block of Gay Street, City of Scottville.
– 5:32 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Hansen Road west of Stephens Road, Custer Township.
– 3:59 p.m., (MCSO), breaking and entering, 5200 block of East Free Soil Rd, Free Soil Township. A seasonal cabin broken was into, and nothing was reported stolen.
Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017:
– 10:28 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $43.72 in fuel stolen, Ludington EZ Mart, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
– 7:18 p.m., (MCSO), a 41-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Allegan County Friend of the Court warrant, 5700 block of Barton Road, Pere Marquette Township.
