Scottville man faces animal abuse charge for allegedly breaking cat’s leg.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A warrant is being requested for a 33-year-old Scottville man for animal abuse after he allegedly broke his ex-girlfriend’s cat’s leg, Saturday, March 4, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
Mason County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence at 1:38 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Lakeshore Drive, where “a cat was reportedly found by its owner with a broken leg,” Cole said. “The suspect, a past boyfriend to the complainant, had left the residence prior to the arrival of the deputy.”
No other information was immediately available.
