RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 21-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a bond violation charge Sunday, Feb. 5, at 12:43 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Stiles Road after a Mason County sheriff’s deputy found him sleeping in a car that was not his, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene following a 911 call reporting a man banging on the caller’s door, Cole said.
“An MCSO deputy arrived and followed the tracks which led to the suspect sleeping in a vehicle which did not belong to him,” Cole said.

– 12:10 a.m., (MCSO), a 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), and an additional charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) is being requested through the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office following a one-vehicle crash that caused minor injuries, Ludington State Park, Hamlin Township.
