LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:

– Tonya Ann Johnson, 35, 204 Second St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for 42 days already served.

– Jason Matthew Kapala, 28, 108 E. Green St., Scottville, pleaded guilty on Nov. 1 to second-offense domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for two days already served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; no contact with victim; and $360 in fines and costs.

– Brent Arthur Miklos, 19, of 128 Shadow Creek Lane, Aledo, Texas, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for 31 days already served;93 days discretionary jail for one year; must not possess any knives; and $660.61 in fines, costs and restitution.

-Leland S. Kapala, 48, 105 E. State St., Scottville, pleaded guilty Nov. 6 to disorderly – drunk person and was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for two days already served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; must be evaluated for substance abuse counseling; one year probation; and $285 in fines and costs.

– Timothy Gene Smith, 56, 716 N. Harrison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to disorderly person – public intoxication and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; one year probation, and $285 in fines and costs. May perform 29 hours of community service in lieu of fines/costs.

– Zane Andrew Dibble, 63, 166 N. Gordon Rd., Amber Township, pleaded no contest Nov. 1 to operating with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served; 180 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; must attend outpatient treatment; and $1,070 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State. A charge of operating while intoxicated was dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

– Leia Joy Grant, 24, 1082 Pineway, Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor and was sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs.
Caylah Jean Funk, 25, 545 Abbey St., Apt. D, Muskegon, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to improper transport of medical marijuana and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must not possess marijuana without valid prescription; must attend marijuana counseling; and $665 in fines and costs. A charge of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed by the prosecutor with prejudice.

– Kevin Lee Plasterer, 42, 191 Bonnie, Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $600 in fines and costs. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

– Ronald Douglas Forward, 67, 220 S. Walhalla Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and was sentenced to pay $265 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

– Tanya Lucia Munoz, 33, 317 N. Harrison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 7 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; one year probation; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Tesia Ann Klinger, 19, 253 E. Main St., Walkerville, pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to driving while license not valid and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.
