Mason County rings in New Year with several crashes.

The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Friday, Dec. 28, 2018:
– 10:51 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Neil Road, Hamlin Township.
– 6:16 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
– 9:45 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Darr Road, Custer Township.
– 10:30 p.m., (MCSO), sex offender registry (SOR) violation, Gibson Road, Branch Township. Sheriff’s deputies are seeking a warrant for a 30-year-old Mason County man for failure to comply with SOR requirements following an offender watch tip. A report is being forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office.
Saturday, Dec. 29, 2019:
– 12:56 a.m., (MCSO), warrant arrest, Wildwood Run, Amber Township. A 26-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant in Mason County.
– 4:58 a.m., (MCSO), disorderly person arrest, Stray Street and Washington Avenue, City of Ludington. A 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested by deputies after he was found stumbling around in the road and refused to leave the roadway.
– 5:43 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez and Hogenson roads, Riverton Township.
– 6:23 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Townline Road, Grant Township.
– 6:50 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive south of Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township.
– 6:12 p.m., (Michigan State Police), SOR violation, under investigation, 200 block of Gibson Road, Branch Township.
– 7:50 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property – vehicle’s exterior mirror, Wildwood, Amber Township.
Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018:
– 1 p.m., (MCSO), trespassing, 4700 block of West US 10, Amber Township. MCSO continues to investigate a trespassing complaint that a business filed against a 48-year-old Ludington man who had previously been banned from the store.
– 2:47 p.m., (MSP), fraudulent checks, under investigation, 200 block of Fair Oaks, Branch Township.
– 3:11 p.m., (MCSO), probation violation arrest, Ivanhoe Road, Pere Marquette Township. A 27-year-old Ludington man was arrested after deputies responded to an “unwanted person” call. The reporting party reported the suspect had shown up to the residence intoxicated, which was in violation of his probation.
– 5:02 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle roll-over crash, Poplar and Townline roads, no injuries, Sherman Township.
– 11:11 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Lattin Road, Summit Township.

– 6:57 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Nurnberg roads, Grant Township.
– 7 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Scottville and Hawley roads, Riverton Township.
– 7:02 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of US 10, Amber Township.
– 7:07 p.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage/no injury, US 31 freeway near Pere Marquette Highway overpass, Pere Marquette Township.
– 7:16 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway near Conrad Road, Amber Township.
