Pentwater man arrested for shooting school with B-B gun.

PENTWATER – A 22-year-old Pentwater man has been arrested for allegedly shooting the windows of the Pentwater School and some vehicles with a B-B gun, according to Pentwater Police Chief Laude Hartrum.

“Pentwater Police, assisted by Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and numerous tips from citizens, arrested a 22-year-old Pentwater man in connection to a series of MDOPs (malicious destruction of property) that occurred inside the Village of Pentwater and in Pentwater Township” Wednesday, Nov. 21, states PPD’s Facebook page.

“Pentwater Schools reported approximately $3,000 worth of damage to windows and doors.”

The suspect’s name is being withheld pending formal arraignment. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

“Investigators want to thank everyone who assisted in the investigation with calls and tips.”
