Suspect shoots school windows with B-B gun.

PENTWATER – The Pentwater Police Department is searching for a suspect who allegedly shot the Pentwater Public Schools’ windows with a B-B gun and broke out nearby vehicle windows, according to Pentwater Police Chief Laude Hartrum.

The suspect is a white male with a beard and is believed to be driving a dark-colored Ford Escape. PPD is asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspect.

“Pentwater Police Department is investigating several reports of malicious destruction of property,” states Hartrum in a press release issued Wednesday, Nov. 21. “The department believes the incidents are linked.

“At approximately 7:30 a.m., a resident near the corner of Lowell Street and North Hancock Street reported that their truck window had been broken out. The investigation determined that the driver’s side

window had been broken out from an impact.

“At approximately 8:10 a.m., the department received another report of a vehicle’s driver’s side window being broken out in the 600 block of North Wythe Street. The investigation determined that the window had been broken out from an impact.

“At approximately 8:45 a.m., the department received a report from Pentwater Schools that several of their windows had been broken out. The investigation determined that all four windows were broken out after being hit with a ‘B-B’ fired from a weapon.
