Thief steals, crashes vehicle.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a stolen vehicle and illegal entry complaint Thursday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Brye Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“The victim reported an unknown person stole his vehicle from a garage and crashed it on his property,” Cole said.

Other police activity in Mason County Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 includes:

– 2:25 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), breaking and entering, 700 block of North Delia Street, City of Ludington.

– 3:06 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 45-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating without a driver’s license, Chauvez and Benedict roads, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:02 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 and Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township.

– 11:13 a.m., (LPD), breaking and entering, 300 block of South James Street, City of Ludington.

– 6:41 p.m., (MSP), intimidation, under investigation, 200 block of Custer Road, Custer Township.

– 7:50 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive and Decker Road, Hamlin Township.

– 10 ​p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and Schlick Road, Summit Township.
