AMBER TOWNSHIP — Mason County sheriff’s deputies arrested two suspects in separate incidents for domestic violence and other charges Tuesday, Oct. 3, according to Sgt. Eric Soneral.

The first incident at 1 a.m. in the 1500 block of US 10 resulted in the arrest of Christopher Joseph Sekenske Jr., 22, of Ludington on charges of first-degree home invasion, third-degree home invasion, domestic assault and marijuana possession.

Following a 911 call reporting a “disturbance” at the residence, sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police troopers observed the front door broken and located the suspect in the victim’s bedroom, stated Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Sekenske had a past dating relationship with the victim, Cole said.

Sekenske, who has been arraigned in 79th District Court, remains lodged in the Mason County Jail on a $15,000 cash/surety bond.

The second incident at 8:37 p.m. in the 4800 block of US 10 in Pere Marquette Township yielded the arrest of a 25-year-old Branch man on charges of interference with a telecommunications device, domestic assault and parole violation.
