Man ‘staggering’ into US 10 traffic arrested.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old Mason County man was arrested for disorderly person by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Saturday night, Sept. 30, after he was allegedly “staggering” and “stumbling” into US 10 traffic near Brye Road, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“He was found to be intoxicated, blowing a .20 on a roadside breath test,” Cole said.

The man was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. and lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Friday, Sept. 29, 2017:

– 7:20 a.m., (Mason ​County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injuries, Conrad and Stiles roads, Amber Township.

– 7:52 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Custer and Hawley roads, Eden Township.

– 1 p.m., (MCSO), stolen motorcycle, 2100 block of North Reek Road, Sherman Township. The victim reported the theft of a 2008 Yamaha 125 cc dirt bike. The cycle is described as blue and white with a damaged front fender.

– 1:44 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), warrant arrest, 600 block of East Dowland Street, City of Ludington.

– 3:31 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, with injuries, US 31 and Free Soil Road, Free Soil Township. A 64-year-old Free Soil woman was injured when she pulled onto US 31 from Free Soil Road and into the path of a northbound pickup truck being driven by a 57-year-old man from Wyoming, Michigan. The Free Soil resident was transported to Munson Health Care Manistee Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and the Wyoming man was reportedly uninjured. See previously posted story here.

– 6:47 p.m., (LPD), disturbance, West Filer and South Williams streets, City of Ludington.

Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017:

– 2:22 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 freeway near Oceana Drive, Summit Township.

– 2:37 a.m., (MSCO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive and Rasmussen Road, Pere Marquette Township.

– 3:55 a.m., (MSCO), a 23-year-old Ludington man was arrested for a felony of third-offense operating while ​intoxicated after MCSO deputies were called to a “disturbance” in the parking lot of an apartment complex, 100 block of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township. “As a deputy was arriving, he witnessed the suspect vehicle quickly pull out of a parking spot and fishtail through the parking lot while other subjects were in the parking lot,” the sheriff said.

– 5:14 a.m., (LPD), warrant arrest, 500 block of Melendy Street, City of Ludington.

– 10:06 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Brye Road, Amber Township.

– 11:20 a.m., (MCSO) one-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 and Hoague Road, Grant Township.

– 7:12 p.m., (LPD), indecent exposure, Stearns Road, City of Ludington.

– 7:28 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 and Amber Road, Amber Township.

– 8:43 p.m., (LPD), disturbance, East Melendy and South James streets, City of Ludington.

Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017:

– 8:34 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, minor injuries, M 116 at the Ludington State Park entrance, Hamlin Township. A 34-year-old Hudsonville, Michigan woman was northbound on M 116 approaching the Ludington State Park when she reportedly got dizzy and blacked out, striking several markers, an embankment and a flag pole. She was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS for minor injuries.

– 4:42 p.m., (MCSO), a 52-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for a felony of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended (DWLS) after deputies were called to a reported reckless driver in the area, 4500 block of West Hansen Road, Amber Township.

– 5:35 p.m., (MCSO) car/deer crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive and Iris Road, Pere Marquette Township.

– 5:37 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injuries, Walhalla Road and First Street, Branch Township.

– 7:50 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive and Angling Road, Hamlin Township.
