Joy ride ends with crash, arrest.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 17-year-old Custer man was arrested for joyriding and no operator’s license after Mason County sheriff’s deputies discovered that he had reportedly stolen a family member’s vehicle and crashed it, causing minor injuries Wednesday, July 19, at 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Chauvez and Morton roads, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

– 8:57 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Fisher Road east of Jebavy Drive, Hamlin Township.

– 11:26 a.m., (MCSO), a 54-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding warrants issued in 79th District Court, 500 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington.

– 11:28 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, 1300 block of North Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township. A 19-year-old Scottville man was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following the crash.

– 1:26 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property – spray painted building, 11000 block of North Loprete Road, Grant Township.

– 4:10 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 60-year-old Shelby woman was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop, northbound US 31 Freeway near the Conrad Road overpass, Amber Township.

– 5:58 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), malicious destruction of property, 900 block of East Russell Street, City of Ludington.

– 6:17 p.m., (MCSO), larceny theft of three 12-foot kayaks (which are yellow, green and purple), along with a trolling motor and paddle, 6500 block of South Appleton Road, Riverton Township.

– 6:44 p.m., (LPD), larceny, 200 block of North Lewis Street, City of Ludington.
