HAMLIN TWP. — An autopsy was performed this morning on the body found north of Big Point Sable Lighthouse Tuesday night. Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said the body was that of a black male who was 5-foot, 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

“The deceased had two identifiable tattoos on his upper left chest above his left nipple,” Cole said. “One is of a pyramid and above that is a tattoo of a half moon with a star.”

The cause of death has yet to be determined, Cole said.

Mason County deputies are working with the surrounding Great Lake states to help identify this individual.
