Saranac man kills 19-point buck in Mason County. Fox 17 News is reporting that Eric Hysell of Saranac, shot a 19-point buck at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, on Manistee National Forest land in Mason County. Hysell shot from 193 yards away using a .30-378 high-powered rifle. The deer hasn’t been scored yet to see if it qualifies for any records.
