The City of Ludington (pop. 8,100) is accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer, with preference being given to Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) certified applicants. All applicants must be certified/certifiable by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards. Competitive wages and benefit package, including defined benefit pension (at age 50 with 25 years of service).
LATERAL ENTRY: New hires of Police Officers with a Minimum of two years continuous full-time MCOLES Certified Officer experience starting pay at two-year pay step ($57,262.40). New hires of Police Officers with a Minimum of five years continuous full-time MCOLES Certified Officer experience starting pay at three-year pay step ($59,384.00).
