Qualifications/Ability To:

Serve as a confidential assistant to the Superintendent of Schools

Schedule appointments & manage correspondence for the Superintendent
-
Screen phone calls for relevance
-
Use proper phone etiquette with a focus on outstanding customer service
-
Maintain digital filing system
-
Direct individuals to the proper channels
-
Manage Years of Service and other awards
-
Input requisitions
-
Organize and conduct Secretarial Meetings throughout the year
-
Complete Administrative Contracts
-
Serve as a Notary Public for the District
-
Serve as Editor of the Pirates’ Treasure publication
-
Serve as District Administrator for Michigan Childhood Immunization Registry (MCIR)
-
Work with building secretaries on deadlines & review District Level Reports
-
-
Complete FOIA Requests in a timely manner and according to legal requirements
-
Update EEM annually and as needed
-
Complete Annual Education Report Annually
-
Submit SID report annually
-
Maintain Annual Retainer Agreements with Law Firms
-
Use multiple software programs (Student Management, Building Scheduling System, Maintenance, District Website, State of MI programs, MCIR, Google Calendar, etc.)
-
Serve as building use contact as well as apply required fees
-
Serve as the District’s Election Coordinator
-
Weekly publication Points of Pride (ADA Compliant) for website
-
District Level Power Alerts
-
Create forms as needed for the District
-
Provide employee support
-
Be fluent in Google programs (Docs, Sheets, Forms), minimal Microsoft Office programs
-
Plan staff luncheons/trainings
-
Update school website
-
Manage conference registrations/hotel reservations
-
Order supplies
-
Understand the importance of confidentiality
-
Make necessary preparations for Board of Education meetings including (but not limited to):
-
Board Packets
-
Meeting arrangements
-
Preparation of minutes and meeting follow up
-
Posting public notices in accordance with the Open Meetings Act
-
Board member attendance/pay
-
Assist with Board Policies
-
Election/Oath of Office requirements
-
Plan and organize the Top Scholar Breakfast in the spring
-

Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
Criminal Records Check: By law, the selected applicant is required to complete a criminal records check. This will be at the prospective employee’s expense and kept on file at the Central Business Office.
Location: Superintendent’s Office
Estimated Starting Date: November 14, 2022
Reports to: Superintendent
Salary: $48,353 computed on a 260 day per year contract
