The area’s oldest FM radio station may be moved to another community, nearly 70 miles away. Synergy Media Inc., owner of WKLA-FM, has requested the station’s license be transferred from Ludington to Thompsonville, according to a Federal Communications Commission document. Taranko and Cox win Ludington mayoral primary

LUDINGTON — Wally Taranko and Ryan Cox will be on the November ballot as candidates for mayor. Taranko received 450 votes while Cox received 375. Pete Engblade received 192 and Dave Kosla, 97. The general election will take place Nov. 5.
