A downed wire caused a power outage in Amber and Pere Marquette townships, effecting between 200 to over 1,000 people. The wire went down near U.S. 10 and Brye Road in Amber Township. Several businesses and residents along the U.S. 10 corridor were affected and are still currently without power.

All Mason County schools are closed Tuesday due to the weather. This includes Ludington Area Schools, Ludington Area Catholic, Mason County Central, Mason County Eastern and West Shore Educational Service District. We have not received official notice from any other county school.
