Mason County Eastern High School senior Travis McCormick is among 10 class C and class D student-athletes selected by the Michigan High School Athletic Association to receive scholarships through its Scholar-Athlete Award program.  Farm Bureau Insurance, in its 26th year of sponsoring the award, will give $1,000 college scholarships to 32 individuals who represent their member schools in at least…

MCE voters approve millage renewal

CUSTER — Mason County Eastern Public School voters approved a 19.2595 mill renewal for the next 20 years. The district is allowed to tax properties except principal residences and other property exempted by law. It is expected to raise approximately $1 million in revenue for the district in 2013.
