Summary of Ordinance addressing floodplain management provisions of the state constructive code:

Section 1: Agency designated. The Building Inspector of the County of Mason will be designated as the enforcing agency.

Section 2: Code appendix enforced. Appendix G of the Michigan Building Code shall be enforced by the enforcing agency of the County of Mason.

Section 3: Designation of regulated flood prone hazard areas. FEMA FIS #26105cv000a and dated 07 24 2013 and the Flood Insurance Rate Maps panel 0250C/2 sections and dated 07 29 2011 are adopted by reference for the purposes of administration of the Michigan Building Code.

Section 4: Repeals.

Section 5: Publication.

This ordinance was duly adopted on Nov. 18, 2013 at a regular meeting of the Amber Township Board and is effective Jan. 1, 2014.
