GRANT TOWNSHIP, Mason County — Six people were injured Sunday, June 15, as a result of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Quarterline Road and Forest Trail. The injured included three people from Lexington, SC, out of five from one vehicle, and three from Manistee in another vehicle.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at 11:46 a.m. Those responding included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Grant Township Fire Department, Life EMS, and MMR ambulance.

– 6 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO): Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road south of Fountain Road, Victory Township.
– 4:02 p.m., MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
– 4:20 p.m., MCSO: A 66-year-old Hart man was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant from Mason County at US 31 and Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
– 5:33 p.m., MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 west of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
– 7:46 p.m., Ludington Police Dept. (LPD): A 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested in the 300 block of Ludington Ave. and charged with assault, City of Ludington.
– 9:40 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road south of Townline Road, Victory Township.
– 10:08 p.m., LPD: A 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested for driving a motor vehicle without insurance following a traffic stop near Jebavy and King drives, Pere Marquette Township. The man was issued a citation and was released to appear in Mason County’s 79th District Court.
– 10:33 p.m., MCSO: Retail fraud, Ludington Liquor, 5946 W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The complainant reported an unknown female entered the store and stole multiple packs of Whip-It N20 cream chargers.

– 3:56 p.m., LPD: A 33-year-old Lansing man was arrested for driving a motor vehicle without insurance following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Delia Street, City of Ludington. He was issued a citation and ordered to appear in Mason County’s 79th District Court.
– 5:20 a.m., MSCO: A 21-year-old Manistee County man was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant from Mason County, US 31 and Countyline Road, Grant Township.
– 6:03 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove Road and US 31, Sherman Township.
– 7:53 p.m., LPD: A 64-year-old Spring Lake man was arrested for driving a vehicle while license suspended and driving without insurance following a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Filer Street, City of Ludington. He was issued a citation and ordered to appear in Mason County’s 79th District Court.
– 4:51 p.m., MCSO: Three vehicle crash with minor injuries, US 10-31 and Dennis Road, Amber Township.

– 9:49 a.m., LPD: A 33-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested for driving a vehicle while license suspended following a traffic stop near Tinkham Avenue and Staffon Street, City of Ludington. He was issued a citation and ordered to appear in Mason County’s 79th District Court.
– 12:50 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Free Soil and Masten roads, Meade Township.
– 6:08 p.m., MCSO: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 north of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
