LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Batterson

– Zane Orion Batterson, 23; assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, second-offense domestic violence, two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, third-degree fleeing and eluding, and interfering with electronic communications; arrested June 8 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 9; preliminary hearing: June 25; bail: $1,000/10 percent.

Hornacek

– Ashley Lynn Hornacek, 38; possession of a controlled substance —narcotic/cocaine and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer; arrested March 16 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 10; preliminary hearing: June 25; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

Granlund

– Erin Nicole Granlund, 27; possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine/ecstasy and possession of a controlled substance — narcotic/cocaine; arrested June 5 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 6; preliminary hearing: June 25; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

 

 

Misdemeanors

  • Michelle Ann Bezesky-Wroble, 56; animal cruelty; arrested April 1 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 5; pretrial: June 30; bail: personal recognizance.
  • Jay Richard Piper, 52; third-degree retail fraud; charged Feb. 26, 2024 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 5; pretrial: June 30; bail: $250 cash.
  • Stefan Thomas McInerny, 40; operating a vehicle while intoxicated; arrested June 5 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 6; pretrial: July 7; bail: $500/10 percent.
  • Brandie Cay Maile, 48; disturbing the peace — loud noise/music; charged June 8 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 9; pretrial: July 7; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
  • Jose Luis Chavira-Villareal, 19; inhalation of toxic vapors; arrested June 10 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 11; pretrial: June 30; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
  • Paul Michael Sorensen, 75; unlicensed dog and letting a dog run stray; charged May 18 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 5; pretrial: June 30; bail: personal recognizance.
  • Chad Jason Miller, 54; disorderly person disturbing the peace; charged May 22 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 5; plea and sentencing: June 25; bail: personal recognizance.
  • Kenneth John Welling, 64; unlicensed dog; charged May 12 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 5; pleaded guilty.
