Gloria Alice (Lenon) Taylor, 88, of Ludington, died on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, October 15, 1936. Her Parents were the late John Ezra Lenon and the late Viola (Snyder) Lenon. September 8, 1956, Gloria married Gerald R. Taylor, who she met in the ninth grade, and to whom she was still married at the time of her death.

Gloria is survived by her husband Gerald and their four children; Cynthia Long of Laguna Hills, Cali., Diana Halcomb of Round Rock, Texas, Timothy Taylor (Pati) of LaMarque, Texas, and Eric Taylor (Anna) of Kilgore, Texas; brother, Herbert Lenon (Mary Jane) of Onekama. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Gerald “Andy” Taylor (Calvin) of Seattle, Wash., Stephen Halcomb (Tyka) of Arlington, Texas, Phillip Halcomb (Janelle) of Cumming, GA, Daniel “Pierce” Long of Laguna Hills, Cali., Summer Nelson (Jaiden) of Anchorage, Ark., and Emma Taylor of Kilgore, Texas. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren; Eliana and Ezra Halcomb of Arlington, Texas. A seventh grandchild, Randal “Austin” Long is deceased.

Gloria graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, June 1954, and attended the University of Michigan from 1954 to 1958. She then worked for the University of Michigan admissions office until moving to the NASA area near Houston, Texas. She worked at the United Way of Texas until retiring July 1, 1996. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, family gatherings, and following the bands in which her husband played.

Gloria will be laid to rest at Gilson Cemetery, 38th St. at PQ Ave., Climax Township, Mich., at noon on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
