Man arrested for 6th DWLS, meth possession.

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — A 50-year-old Norton Shores man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies following a traffic stop for sixth-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and methamphetamine possession Wednesday, Sept. 8, shortly after 8 a.m. on US 31 near the Ludington rest area, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021:

  • 6:25 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Meyers Road, Amber Township.
  • 1:04 p.m., (MCSO), a 17-year-old Free Soil woman was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 700 block of West Free Soil Road, Grant Township. 
  • 1:12 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road south of Millerton Road, Sherman Township.
  • ​3:17 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested at the Mason County Courthouse, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail per the request of the 79th District Court. His bond was revoked by the court.
