The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026:

• 3:14 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, City of Scottville.

Friday, Oct. 16, 2026:

• 12:54 a.m., (MCSO), a 27-year-old homeless man was arrested  following a traffic stop on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued in Antrim County for malicious use of a telecommunication device, Main and Johnson streets, City of Scottville. 
• 4:02 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of State Street, Village of Custer.
• 1:56 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, with injury, Free Soil Road west of Tubbs Road, Free Soil Township. A 35-year-old Free Soil man received non-life-threatening injuries after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, ran off the road, and struck a tree.
• 6:10 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle crash, no injury, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
• 6:42 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, 200 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 7:57 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of clothing, 100 block of North Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township. The complainant reported washing and drying clothing at the Ludington Laundromat. He left to run errands, and upon returning, his clothes were gone.

Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026:

• 7:10 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road north of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
• 8:08 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hansen Road west of Custer Road, Custer Township.
• 8:46 p.m. (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 10 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Dennis Road, Victory Township.

Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026:

• 12:57 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
• 6:16 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hoague Road east of LaSalle Road, Grant Township.
• 12:12 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, with injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township. A 62-year-old Ludington woman received minor injuries after striking a deer.
• 12:13 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Main Street south of State Street, City of Scottville.
• 7:16 p.m., (LPD), a 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant issued by Manistee County’s 85th District Court, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 7:33 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of Tuttle Road, Sherman Township.
• 10:09 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road north of Townline Road, Grant Township.
• Time not listed, (LPD), a 42-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant issued in Oceana County, 800 block of East Filer Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
