LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Carranza
Trevor Blue Carranza, 36, pleaded guilty June 23 to two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced Aug. 4 to eight months in jail with credit for 71 days served; two years probation; and $666 in fines and costs.
Totten
Donnie Ray Totten III, 31, pleaded guilty June 12 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and third-offense habitual offender and was sentenced Aug. 4 to one to 20 years in prison with credit for 76 days served and $198 in fines and costs.
Tjapkes
Nathanial Carl Tjapkes, 42, was found guilty by a jury June 4 of two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 20 months to 15 years in prison and $266 in fines and costs.
Bovee
Bernard Joe Bovee, Jr., 53, pleaded no contest June 23 to third-offense domestic violence and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 10 months in jail with credit for 28 days served and $598 in fines and costs.
Tacktor-Collins
Shawn Michael Tacktor-Collins, 39, pleaded guilty June 23 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 29 months to 40 years in prison with credit for 127 days served and $198 in fines and costs. In a second file, Tacktor-Collins pleaded guilty June 23 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced Aug. 11 to a concurrent term of 29 months to 40 years in prison with credit for 128 days served and $198 in fines and costs. In a third file, he was found guilty of probation violation June 23 and was sentenced to a concurrent term of 20 months to 15 years in prison with credit for 354 days served. His probation arose from an Aug. 19, 2025 conviction of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession, court records state.
Howlett
Andre Royl Howlett, 30, pleaded guilty June 23 to false pretenses $1,000-$20,000 and conspiracy to commit false pretenses $1,000-$20,000 and was sentenced Aug. 11 to seven months in jail with credit for two days served; $1,470 in restitution; and $666 in fines and costs.
Swieter
Scott Allen Swieter, 51, pleaded guilty June 23 to failure to comply with sex offender registration duties and received a delayed sentence Aug. 11 of one day in jail with credit for one day served; six months probation; and $598 in fines and costs. A delayed sentence hearing is scheduled for Jan. 16, 2027.
Shanklin
James Shanklin Jr., 63, pleaded guilty June 23 to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced Aug. 11 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. Misdemeanor charges of operating an unregistered vehicle and open intoxicants were dismissed.
Case
Donald Gene Case, 52, pleaded guilty June 22 to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic, methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and fourth-offense habitual offender was sentenced Aug. 11 to six months in jail; three years probation; and $266 in fines and costs. In a second file, Case pleaded guilty May 6 to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic, methamphetamine/ecstasy possession, dangerous weapon and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced Aug. 11 to a concurrent term of one year in jail with credit for 59 days served; two years probation; and $734 in fines and costs.
Baron
Carmen Marie Baron, 48, pleaded guilty June 23 to delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 10 months in jail with credit for six days served; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs.
Horton
Melanie Ann Horton, 33, pleaded guilty June 23 to false report of a felony and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 12 days in jail with credit for 12 days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs. A misdemeanor charge of domestic violence was dismissed.
Henry
Corey James Henry, 44, pleaded no contest to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Aug. 11 to 45 days in jail with credit for two days served; three years probation; and $1,073 in fines and costs. One misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended was dismissed.
