Patricia Gulleff
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Gulleff at the age of 94. The first of seven children born to Russell and Ruby (Bush) Blucker, Patricia was born in Ludington, where she was a lifelong resident until moving to Scottville in 1969.
On September 9, 1960, Patricia married the love of her life, Albert “Carl” Gulleff. They were happily married for 40 years until he departed to his heavenly home in October 2000. Together, they enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling, and walking in the woods looking for morel mushrooms. She retired from Stokely-Van Camp after 21 years of working in the warehouse office.
Known for her unwavering kindness and selfless nature, Patricia consistently placed the needs of others above her own, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Life was not always easy for her, especially health-wise, but God and her husband were always there and saw her through the truly tough times. Her grandchildren brought her much joy, and she loved spending as much time with them as she could. She loved gardening in her yard, knitting, crocheting, sewing, puzzles, reading, and classical music, especially Chopin. From a young age, she used her beautiful voice to sing at weddings and many other functions. She is now singing among the angels.
Her legacy lives on through her son, William Wright (partner Patsy Persinger); daughter, Veda (John) Muck; eight grandchildren: Merilee (Jerry) Ludlow, Michael (Roxanne) Wright, Natasha (Sam) Morrison, Duane (Brandy) Wright Jr., Darcy (Tim) Harwell, Nicholas (Kristin) Kirt, Eric (Lori) Kirt, and Christopher Kirt; sixteen great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; son, Duane Wright; granddaughter, Misty Weir; great-grandson, Jaxson Kirt; son-in-law, William Kirt; siblings, William C. Blucker, Marie Graham, Russell Blucker, Janet Kella, Carol Cooley, and Norman Blucker; four nephews; and special friend, Joseph Astrauskas.
Patricia’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Corewell Health Hospice for their wonderful care and support. Those who wish to remember her with a memorial are asked to please consider a donation to Corewell Health Hospice or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date, with her final resting place in Lakeview Cemetery alongside her husband, Carl.
