Indian Summer is seeking a qualified 2nd Shift Plant Manager to join our team in Ludington.
This is a high-impact leadership position where you’ll directly influence production performance, equipment reliability and team development while partnering with company leadership to improve efficiency, reliability and overall plant performance.
Qualifications:
• Proven leadership experience working with large-volume food production equipment and maintenance crews.
• Working knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), sanitation and food safety practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and requirements.
• Broad understanding of safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, delegate, monitor and follow up effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently.
• Basic welding and electrical skills preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel and perform hands-on work with tools throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Education and Experience:
• Three to seven years of experience in large-volume food production and/or manufacturing with progressively increasing management responsibilities.
Language Skills:
