LUDINGTON — Oakview Medical Care Facility will celebrate 60 years of serving Mason County with an anniversary open house later this month.
The community is invited to attend the celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the facility, 1001 Diana St. The event is free and open to the public.
Oakview opened in 1966 and has provided long-term skilled nursing, rehabilitation and specialized memory care services for Mason County residents. Facility officials said the anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the employees, volunteers, residents, families and community partners who have contributed to Oakview’s history over the past six decades.
The celebration will include live music by Third Coast Swing, desserts and refreshments, and an opportunity for guests to reflect on the facility’s history while looking ahead to its future.
Current and former residents, families, employees, friends and community members to are invited to attend the event.
