Eight west Michigan artists will open their studios and showrooms to the public next week as part of the annual Art Ramble West Michigan, a self-guided tour stretching from Ludington to New Era.
The two-day event will take place Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The approximately 30-mile tour includes five locations where visitors can meet artists, browse original works, enjoy refreshments and purchase artwork directly from the artists at discounted prices.
Participating artists include Kristine Campbell, Paula DeGregorio, Ruthie Eilers, Marie Essenberg, Tim Jeltema, Anne Kivela, Linda Nelson and Linda Sandow. Artwork on display will include oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, pastels, photography and fiber arts.
Studio stops include 709 W. Pere Marquette St. and 703 S. Delia St. in Ludington; 414 N. Rush St. in Pentwater; 4189 Scenic Drive in Shelby; and 6930 W. Arthur Road in New Era.
Not all participating artists will accept credit cards. Cash or checks are preferred at some locations.
