SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Clown Band has launched a new online merchandise store featuring apparel that supports the band’s youth music education programs.
The store currently offers two apparel designs on T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and crewneck sweatshirts: the band’s classic Scottville Clown Band logo and a special America 250 design available only during 2026. Additional merchandise is expected to be added in the future.
All Clown Band merchandise is available exclusively through the online store and ships directly to customers. Proceeds support the band’s youth music education programs, including scholarships and grants. Recently, the Raymond Schulte Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships to 67 students attending summer music education programs, including more than $12,000 to campers attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. The band’s grant program has also helped fund summer uniforms and marching band camp for the Mason County Central High School band, along with general-use funding for the Ludington Area Schools band program.
“For many years, the Clown Band sold merchandise at its performances throughout Michigan,” said Clown Band Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Rob Alway. “We had a lot of success with that program, but finding volunteers to manage it has become a challenge over the last decade. We hope our fans embrace this new format, which will allow us to concentrate more on entertaining.”
