The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, May 29, 2026:  

• 8:06 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of US 10, Amber Township.
• 3:37 p.m., (MCSO), warrant arrest, 100 block of Emerson Lake Road, Branch Township. A 24-year-old Branch man was arrested following a call related to a civil standby. During the investigation, it was learned one of the parties had two failure to appear warrants issued in Mason County and a felony drug warrant issued in Oceana County. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 4:26 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.
• 5:15 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Stearns Road and 5th Street, Hamlin Township.
• 5:56 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Stiles Road, Amber Township.

Saturday, May 30, 2026:

• 2:14 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Dennis Road, Amber Township.
• 5:25 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 6th Street west of Pere Marquette Hwy, Pere Marquette Township.
• 5:48 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 55-year-old Ludington man was arrested for a probation violation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and furnishing marijuana to a minor, 700 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 6:29 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, South Main Street, City of Scottville.
• 8:13 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, minor injury, US 31 and Decker Road, Sherman Township. A 28-year-old Scottville man received minor injuries.
• 10:16 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Shagway Road, Hamlin Township.

Sunday, May 31, 2026:

• 10:27 a.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested for person protection order violations following a call of a disturbance, 700 block of East Filer Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 4:48 p.m., (MCSO), a 70-year-old Branch man was arrested following a 911 call reporting an assault, 6600 block of Weaver Road, Branch Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 7:52 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive south of Patterson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• 8:40 p.m., (LPD), a 24-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without insurance following a traffic stop near Court Street and Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington.
• 8:46 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, South Main Street, City of Scottville.
• 9:29 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Amber Road, Victory Township.
• 10:41 p.m., (MCSO), a 48-year-old Scottville man was arrested for a bond violation following a 911 call reporting a disturbance, 1200 block of Harold Road, Amber Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
