Richard Knutson
Richard Joseph Knutson, 60, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, in Ludington. Born on Dec. 13, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Richard was known for his loving and caring nature.
Rick’s life was marked by his passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He cherished the time spent at family cookouts, creating lasting memories with his loved ones. His warm presence and hearty laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Laperna; sisters, Laurie Tuffelmire and Pamela Knutson; half-sister, Kristine Laperna; half-brother, Roger Laperna; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Knutson, and his grandmothers.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at noon at Bachellor Cemetery in Sheridan Township, where friends and family are invited to gather and honor Rick’s memory.
A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at Round Lake to honor the lives of Rick, Richard, and Billie Knutson. A meal and time of fellowship will occur. Everyone is welcome and please bring a chair.
