Miss Ludington Area 2026 hosting online tutoring fundraiser

LUDINGTON — Miss Ludington Area 2026 Ashley McPike is hosting online tutoring sessions to benefit the Miss Michigan Scholarship Program. Conducted via Zoom, the sessions will offer assistance in algebra, geometry, calculus, SAT preparation and related subjects.

The fundraiser is donation-based, with a suggested contribution of $25 per hour. Participants may email ashleymcpike.mao@gmail.com to schedule sessions or request additional information. Proceeds will support scholarships for young women across Michigan.

McPike was crowned Miss Ludington Area 2026 on Dec. 21, 2025. She promotes her community social impact initiative, “Sparking Their Futures,” which focuses on engaging youth in engineering. She will represent Mason, Manistee, Oceana and Lake counties at the Miss Michigan 2026 competition in June at the Frauenthal Theatre in Muskegon.

A sophomore at the University of Michigan, McPike is studying electrical engineering and plans to pursue a master’s degree in space engineering. Her career goal is to work on satellite radar or communications systems. She is a 2024 graduate of Ludington High School.

The Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program is an official preliminary competition to Miss Michigan and Miss America.
