51st Circuit Court sentences, published March 27, 2026

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Swinney

Dillon James Swinney, 26, pleaded guilty Jan. 21 to third-offense operating while intoxicated, driving while license suspended and transporting an open intoxicant in a vehicle and was sentenced March 24 to concurrent terms of 30 months to 20 years in prison with credit for 298 days served; 298 days in jail with credit for 298 days served; and 90 days in jail with credit for 90 days served and $673 in fines and costs.

Quinn

Brandon Levi Quinn, 35, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to third-degree fleeing a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced March 24 to concurrent terms of two to seven and a half years in prison; two to seven and a half years in prison; and two to three years in prison with credit for 172 days served for each term; and $334 in fines and costs. A second count of third-degree fleeing a police officer was dismissed. He was also sentenced March 24 for a probation violation conviction to a concurrent term of two to 10 years with credit for 250 days served. His probation stems from an April 22, 2025 conviction of methamphetamine possession.

Perrone

Jason Michael Perrone, 42, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to malicious destruction of fire/police property and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced March 24 to 60 days to 15 years in prison and $698 in fines and costs. In a second file, Perrone pleaded guilty Dec. 9 to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic, two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced March 24 to 20 months to eight years in prison with credit for 155 days served and $334 in fines and costs. One count of fleeing a police officer was dismissed. In a third file, he pleaded guilty Dec. 9 to fleeing a police officer and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced March 24 to 20 months to 15 years in prison with credit for 161 days served in jail and $198 in fines and costs. One count of possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic was dismissed. The three sentences run concurrently.

Sumner

Kurstin Ann-Marie Sumner, 41, pleaded no contest Jan. 20 to carrying a concealed weapon and three counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced March 24 to four days in jail with credit for four days served; two years probation; and $862 in fines and costs. Three counts of felony firearms were dismissed.

Cornejo

Juan Rafael Cornejo, 35, pleaded no contest Jan. 20 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced March 24 to 66 days in jail with credit for 66 days served; two years probation; and $398 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly person was dismissed.

Anaya

Kelly Marie Anaya, 46, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to methamphetamine possession and was sentenced March 24 to 60 days in jail with credit for two days served; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs.

Verschueren

Justin James Verschueren, 36, pleaded guilty May 21 to assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced March 24 to concurrent terms of eight months in jail with credit for two days served; five days in jail with credit for five days served; two years probation; and $726 in fines and costs. One count of felony firearm was dismissed.

Gomez

Ruben Alexander Gomez, 31, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to seduction and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs. One count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed.
