LUDINGTON — A 42-year-old man, whose alias is “Fat Boy,” was sentenced to a minimum of 73 months to 50 years in prison for a conviction of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Eric William Carroll pleaded guilty to the conviction Nov. 18. One count of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine was dismissed. Carroll received credit for 31 days served in jail.
According to Michigan Department of Corrections records, Carroll has an extensive criminal history involving several drug convictions.
He served previous prison terms for prisoner in possession contraband in 2019 and possession of a narcotic or cocaine 25-49 grams in 2017. His probation terms under MDOC supervision include: delivery/manufacture of marijuana in 2012, delivery/manufacture of schedule 1-3 drug in 2012 and possession of a narcotic or cocaine 25-49 grams in 2016.
