JACKSON — The 12U West Shore Wolves won the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association District 6 championship Sunday at the Jackson Optimist Center, earning the opportunity to represent District 6 at the MAHA state tournament in March. The Wolves defeated Grand Valley Blue 6-5.

“This group committed to playing to the standards we set from day one and trusted the process every step of the way,” said Head Coach Nick Tykoski. “They competed the right way, supported one another, and earned this championship by doing the little things consistently. I’m incredibly proud of how they carried themselves and the team-first mentality they showed to come out as district champions.”

Tykoski said the championship is the result of months of disciplined preparation, teamwork, and commitment to high standards both on and off the ice.

“Throughout the district tournament, they demonstrated resilience, strong execution, and a team-first mindset that defined their season.”

The West Shore Wolves 12U roster includes student-athletes from multiple school districts across the region, reflecting the strength and collaboration of the broader community.
