REED CITY — Mason County Central came home with a couple losses following the weekend Reed City Holiday Shootout Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Spartans lost to Beal City, 48-23.
“We just didn’t even get off the bus until the third quarter,” MCC Coach Brent Lyon said. “We made a comeback but it wasn’t enough and we lost a tough one.”
On Saturday, the Spartans lost to Clare, 58-30.
“We really played a well coached Clare team that shot the lights out making seven 3-pointers against us,” Lyon said. “Aubrey Chye and Sage Griswold really played a solid game for us but we just couldn’t overcome those 3’s in the end.”
MCC’s record is 3-3.
