Mardella Dwyer, 89, of Ludington, passed away on Monday November 10, 2025. She was born November 5, 1936, in Ludington the daughter of Tellus and Lila (Berg) Fugere.
Mardella was married Dec. 20, 1952, to Conrad Paul Dwyer. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his death in 1999.
She lived her life doing what she loved most, being the matriarch of the family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, George and Daniel; grandson Jerime Dwyer; sister, Mildred Figgins; father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Ethel; brother-in-law Norman; and sister-in-law Donna Dwyer.
Mardella is survived by: son, Leslie (Maureen) Dwyer; three daughters, Rose Dwyer, Sandra Dwyer, and Patricia (John) DeMint; daughter-in-law, Nancy Dwyer; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Eldonna (Kenneth) Tabor, and Bonita Hale and her husband, Les; brother, Delwin (Verna) Fugere; brothers-in-law, Harold Figgins, and Ronald (Kay) Dwyer; and sister-in-law, Nancy Dwyer.
The family would like to thank Lake Michigan Senior Living, Corewell Health Hospital, Medilodge of Ludington, and Corewell Health Hospice for their exceptional care.
Mardella was laid to rest next to Conrad at Scottville Brookside Cemetery. There are no services scheduled at this time, the family will plan a celebration of life for the summer of 2026.
