LUDINGTON — A 44-year-old man who has an astonishing total of 41 criminal convictions was sent back to prison after receiving his sentence in Mason County’s 51 Circuit Court Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Ryan Steven Brock was sentenced to 34 months to 15 years in prison for convictions of larceny in a building, possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and fourth-offense habitual offender. Brock has amassed 19 felony convictions and 22 misdemeanor convictions, said Mason County Prosecuting Attorney Beth Hand.
Brock pleaded guilty to his most recent charges Aug. 26, according to court records. One count of breaking and entering a building with intent was dismissed. He stole a home sign, a lamp and a wooden American flag from his father’s neighbor in Eden Township, said Prosecutor Hand.
Brock’s criminal activity in Michigan over the years took place in Mason, Ottawa, Muskegon and Luce counties according to Michigan Department of Corrections records. He served previous prison terms for convictions of methamphetamine possession, illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device (credit card), uttering and publishing (writing bad checks), breaking and entering a building, narcotic possession, prisoner in possession of a cell phone and first-degree home invasion, according MDOC records. He previously served probation terms for convictions of forgery, third-degree home invasion, unlawful driving away of an automobile (car theft) and illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device (credit card).
