SCOTTVILLE — Several Mason County Central teams and clubs are joining together this year to consolidate their fundraising efforts. Forming the Mason County Central Club Cohort are band, eSports, quiz bowl, chess team, drama department, board game club
“One of the goals of the MCCCC is to streamline and consolidate our fundraising efforts,” said Tim Danielson, eSports coach. “This will make it easier for us to manage and easier on our community partners. In the past, all of the above teams and groups have run multiple, piecemeal, and often overlapping fundraisers. Instead of competing against each other and over burdening our community, we have joined together to run a single Vertical Raise fundraiser to help fund these groups for the entire year.
“Now, instead of being contacted several times by several groups throughout the year, you can make a one-time tax deductible donation through Vertical Raise to help fund all six of these clubs and teams at once.”
Danielson added that every team has its own unique expenses. Those include practice materials and travel expenses, costumes and uniforms, and much more.
