LUDINGTON — United Way of Mason County will kick off its 2025/2026 fundraising campaign on Thursday, Sept. 25 with a free community concert. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. behind Jamesport Brewing Company in Ludington, will feature the band Groovix Cube, and is open to all members of the community.
The campaign will be co-chaired by Lindsey Calhoun and Madelyn Ambrose, both life-long residents of Ludington.
Calhoun currently works in sales and marketing for House of Flavors Inc. Ambrose is a client support associate at Horizon Financial.
“Helen Keller once said, ‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’ Real change doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens when neighbors, businesses, and community leaders come together with a shared purpose,'” Calhoun said. “I’m proud to be part of something that truly makes a difference for the people and families of Mason County.”
“I am truly honored to serve as co-chair of the United Way Campaign,” Ambrose said. “This community has given so much to me, and I want to giveback to a place that is dedicated to its people and to raising up the next generation of leaders. My hope is to inspire others to join me in making a lasting impact through this campaign.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsey and Madelyn as our 2025/2026 Campaign co-chairs,” said Lynne Russell, executive director of United Way of Mason County. “Their dedication and leadership embody the spirit of United Way demonstrate by coming together as a community to make areal, lasting difference. We can’t wait to celebrate that spirit at our free ‘United We Rock’ concert and invite everyone in the community to join us in this exciting kickoff.”
