HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 24-year-old Ludington man received non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle attempted a u-turn into the path of the vehicle he was driving on M 116 north of Lakeshore Drive Friday, Sept. 18, around 7:30 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The following is other recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:
Friday, Sept. 18, 2026:
- 2:32 a.m., alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
- 7:17 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
- 6:38 p.m., illegal entry, campground area of the Mason County Fairgrounds, Pere Marquette Township. The owner of a camper reported that someone had been staying in the camper while they were gone.
- 8:10 p.m., hit-and-run crash, no injury, 200 block of South Main Street, City of Scottville.
- 9:20 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, southbound US 31 north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026:
- 5:53 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Free Soil Road east of Stephens Road, Free Soil Township.
- 7:12 p.m., a 23-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic assault by strangulation, Thornwild Apartments, City of Scottville.
