MUSKEGON — The Mason County Central varsity boys golf team finished seventh Wednesday at the Oakridge Invitational held at Chase Hammond Golf Course.
Western Michigan Christian won the team title on a cold and windy day, while Oakridge’s Issac Utzinger earned medalist honors with a round of 75.
The Spartans posted a team score of 433. Leading Mason County Central was Lane Sterley with a 98. Other scorers for the Spartans included Colten Thwaites with a 109, Cole VanderHaag with a 112 and Rocco Krysiak with a 114.
Also competing for Mason County Central were Gannon Hansen, who shot a 126, and Gavin Cory, who finished with a 133.
The Spartans will compete Friday, May 15, at The Colonial in Hart for a Rivers Division Jamboree.
